The Whale Hunting Guide for Authors

One of the things that really rattles my cage is when authors say stuff like…

“I’ll never get on that podcast – it’s too big”

Or

“Why would they ever want to feature MY book on that Booktuber channel?”

So I want you to listen closely…

YOU ARE A BIG DEAL!!!

You wrote a friggin’ book.

Do you know how rare this is?

Do you realize how rare you are?

That podcast you think is too big for you, just released a two hour interview with a convicted felon, who’s only redeeming quality is that he can tell funny stories about his fellow inmates.

That Booktuber with the 200,000 followers just reviewed a book about zombies for the millionth time.

Save them from themselves and give get them the opportunity to get to know you – who knows, maybe they’ll like what they see. Heck, maybe they’ll LOVE it.

“But wait one second Yoav… what if they say no?”

Well…

Go on to the next one and the next.

Don’t quit before you tried at least a 100 times.

It’s purely a numbers game and the persistent author gets the whale.

Now … there are a few things you can do to improve your chances.

And there are a couple of very important things you need to do once a ‘whale’ says yes.
